As for your question, I think it's terrible that radical extremists and terrorists are giving regular muslims and the arabic people a bad reputation. People should be taken on an individual basis. You already said Bin Laden is scum, and you acknowledge not all Muslims like him, which shows me that you are not a radical extremist. I feel that a good person is a good person, no matter what colour, race or religion they adhere to.
It's a real shame that you will likely have to deal with ignorant people putting their pre-conceived, "media-fed" notions of Muslims and Arabs onto you before even getting to know you. *shakes head*. Intelligence and knowledge will get you far. And an honest, open mind. A big heart too! And enjoy your stay in Canada!

I do not judge all Muslims by the actions of some,but I do have to warn you Americans are really scared now and I would not totally expect a warm welcome at first in Canada but once people get to know you you will be fine,I really am ashamed of this but it is so very true we judge people on the color of there skin and with all that has happened there is a real stigma attached to the Muslims in our country.May you have safe travel and I sure hope I am wrong,just be prepared for ignorance

I don't exactly know as i myself am Christian and have never known a muslim, but i think you're right any religion could be turned into an excuse to kill, and many times that's exacly what happens. Also Canada's awesome, Try to find the song; Oh Canada, by Five Iron Frenzy.

I agree not all muslims are that way. It's sad that people stereotype various races because of what a particular group has done.

Haha I can understand you broken english. I feel that just like any other religon not everyone who believes the same thing makes the same actions. Just like with christians that one lady in texas murdered her kids but that doesnt mean all christians are murders. Have fun in canada!

i say muslims are exactly like the rest of the population. There is always one group that ruins their rep. no worrys, only shallow people would think you had boms on you 24/7, you shouldnt care about their opionion anyways.
