monsoon means 'big rain'
it is a season that lasts for up to four months usually between November and February
India, Papua New Guinea and Australia are just some of the countries which have a Monsoon season. Monsoons happen in equatorial countries.
In Australia it is called 'The Big Wet' or 'The Wet Season'

Actually the word 'monsoon' comes from the Hindustani word 'mausam' meaning weather. Monsoon word in English means the seasonal fluctuation in direction of winds due to differences in temperature between the two hemisphere which causes rains in the Indian subcontinent, some south eastern nations and north Australia.

Moonson is a humid wind, that brings a lot of rain to south and south-eats asia. that's why there is a lot of green, on the map of india, bangladesh, and SE china.

it actually saves the life. if there would be no moonsons, there wouldnt be so much ppl, on the palce of india(for eg.)

ppl in india even make calendars based on the coming of moonsons. and if it lates for just a couple of days, distasters happen.
