Personally, I think his father's beliefs are scary. That is why I included the link.

The truth came out because of his drinking. He does share is fathers beliefs or he wouldn't have said it. He has fallen from his pedestal.

Not one of us is Mel Gibson, nor are we mind readers. Anything we say is pure speculation and as for that Cynthia McKinney US Congress Woman from Georgia, her aids made extremely anti Semitic remarks towards a Jewish reporter and the news media didn't see fit to make that a story at all, even though she is a US Congress woman. She took no actions against her aids.

Seems like we should place more focus on a US leader than an entertainer.

Leave Mel Gibson alone, at least he was intoxicated when he made these remarks and he came out the next day and apologized and he is now in treatment.

I agree 100% with Sunshine! Alcohol doesn't make you say things that you don't believe to be true... Alcohol makes you say things that you believe are true, but wouldn't usually blurt out to just anyone.

If other Hollywood actors are coming out to defend him, good for him (Mel Gibson). But I have lost my respect for him! He is a drunk, and could have killed or hurt someone very badly. I could care less what he believes. But he should grow some balls and stand up for what he said, instead of apologizing.

People like that only apologize when they are caught with their pants down, or are talking out of their rear.

Only Mel, and God knows for sure, but i think Mel's behavior, really changed a lot of peoples opinions of him. We need to realize that we are all human, and make mistakes, and never put any one up on a holier than thou, pedestal...:)

Alcohol allows our true self to shine through, he said what he thought and did it with all honesty. He won't be that honest until he's that drunk again!

He's a misogynistic, hate spewing actor.

Just drunk and made a fool out of his self. Nothing more. I'm not a huge fan of his but I don't think deep down he meant it just had heard it before drunk and repeated it.

yes, i beleive his comments came from being intoxicated.. he has already directly apologized to the jewish community for his overzealous actions..by the way, loved him in braveheart..but while drunk, bravery was no where to be seen..and his heart wasnt in right place after making those comments..he's the laughing stock of hollywood-so i assume.

I don't know. Of course what he said was horrible, but I don't really care what his views are. It doesn't influence my opinions in the least.
