I got mine several years ago and it didn't really hurt. It felt more like a pinch and then a burning sensation and then it was over. You do have to clean it with betadine daily. Be sure to keep it clean. It will take a few months for it to heal completely. It doesn't really hurt to clean it but it does feel a little sore. Oh and to answer your other question, Yes it was worth it.

Okay. here goes. I got my bellybutton piecred when I was 18 or so. It wasnt too bad as far as the initial piercing goes, and the first day. But It just feels sore for about two weeks (its hard to bend. Think of your waist as the elbow of your body, then imagine trying to bend your elbow after getting a blood test). Its not alot of pain, as I said. Just soreness.

As far as cleaning it with saltwater: When i got mine pierced the guy that did it told me to use distilled water and sea salt. Which hurt pretty bad and I wasnt seeing any progress as far as healing goes. BUT! I was told by a customer of mine to use Dial antibacterial soap and warm water on it. Just move the piercing around to kill the bacteria and help heal it without infection. It worked wonders! Mine healed up in about a month, and that was it!

Good luck! Hope this helped

right iv had mine done twice top and bottom... it barely hurts... feels like a hard pinch... iv had 16 piercings all over my body and i can honestly say navel is one of the least painful... clean it religiously TWICE A DAY with salt water... boil a kettle and sterilise a cup with the hot water then put a lil water in the cup and put some SEA SALT in it... wait for it to go warm then... if you have any questions ask the piercist though because if they are good they will not mind answering all your questions for you...
and it really isnt dangerous as some have answered, as long as you go to a reputable piercist :) g-luk

I pierced mine 4 yrs ago, it did hurt but i think i had anxiety right before they did it but once they did it i was ok. Use dial soap to wash it and peroxide to disinfect. Oh and wear low rise jeans that wont be pulling on the ring.

i reccomend you not getting it peirced. it is potentially dangerous! there is an artery that runs through your belly button, and if they don't get it in the right spot, it can go through the artery. obviously, that's not good, and you can bleed to death.
