wow.
i went through the same sh!t in elementary school and junior high and highschool.
we may have different reasons but my reasons were(and they told me this)that i was too white.
TRANSLATION:i spoke proper english,i combed my hair,i was good in school,i don't smoke,drink or curse.
that was their reasons for not hanging out with me.
now as far as you,i don't know their reasons for not speaking to you.
but you know what?
forget them.
try to make other friends.
whether they are white,hispanic,etc...............
if those girls don't want to be your friend,forget them.
in life(unfortunately)everyone is not going to like you.
don't kill yourself over it like i did.
you keep being you and find another crew.
AND BOB,THAT WAS A VERY IGNORANT COMMENT.
PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO HIM.
PEOPLE CAN NOT LIKE YOU FOR MANY OTHER REASONS THAN THAT.
i'm darkskinned and i've never hated a lightskinned black woman.

oh yeah, and people have hated me all my life too.
i had boys beat me up,spit on me,kick me,push me.
and some of them were like 8 yrs older than me .
the girls picked on me alot but not as much as the boys did.
but you don't have a problem,they do.
to be honest the last time i had a black friend was in,1986.
i really don't care because from 1987 on up, i've had hispanic friends.
and a friend is a friend.
no matter what race.

You have this question posted under the gay / lesbian section of yahoo answers...
Are you a lesbian? If that is they case maybe they are concerned about being hit on by you. A stereo type I know but I am sure you can win them over by just being yourself. It may take time and you'll receive plenty of ridicule but don't give up or change your ways because of a few shallow people. If it doesn't work out than you can all be friends well they are shallow and don't deserve your time.
Find some gay / lesbian organizations in your area, you'll meet people of the same mind set who aren't going to judge you for something that simple.

If you are cute they feel threatened. My ex-boyfriend's sister had that problem. She was black, and beautiful, and all the other black girls hated on her, and she wasn't shallow-or snobby. My best friend in high school had the same problem (she was balck, with model looks) and I can go on and on.
There was this other girl, she was french and black, and all the girls were terrible to her-and she was really cool. She ended up being friends with the white girls because the black girls were jealous. True!
It isn't you, it's them.

Dear Angelica, not everybody is going to like you and that's okay. You are beautiful in your own right. You will encounter this all your life. There's nothing wrong with you. If they can't see you for who and what you are, then they're not worthy of your friendship. Set your dreams and go for them. Don't let life poison you about ANY race. The key to breaking racism starts with young people like you. If you don't hate or mistreat blacks/ whites, then the hate cycle will end.

They're showing you that you have not been accepted. They are in their own little possie and you're not a part of it. Be careful because the way things go in my school, you are on the verge of being ganged up on and beaten by the entire gang of them. However all that go to my school are thugs. You might be dealing with more descant people - long shot - but think about your safety girl!

Most of the time it's either 1 you look better then them. 2 your smarter then them. 3 you come from a better neighborhood then them. I wouldn't worry about you don't need girls like that in your life they will only make you just like them and you don't need that.

Unfortunately, some are just hateful. Don't let it bother you, find people that will talk to you and have fun in spite of them. That is the best revenge.

Because you're probably prettier than them, or you've probably said something or did something to hurt their feelings that you don't know about, but try to talk to them again and see what happens.
