The question 'why' implies a pre-ordained plan or destiny. The only observable phenomena that can be seen is the irreversible slip into total equilibrium....entropy as it were (as mandated by the 2nd Law).
Your existence was the result of a chance meeting of one egg with one of a million spermatoza. You came from random nothingness and your molecules will eventually return to the random nothingness from whence they came.

Good question. Since I don't believe in predestination, that rules out that God has a plan for you. Everyone borned has free will. What you become or make of your life here on Earth is entirely up to you. JMO

to live for god.. to do his will, and to bring others to him and to the greatest place ever where there will be no sad faces, and god will wipe away every tear, and we shall live eternally with him, prasing him. (some ppl just call it heaven) ;)

leaving home to return and recognise it for the first time
everything recognised by its opposite
so we come to imperfection, danger, etc...
