I'm 4 months pregnant and I already have a bad back..it's getting worse and I'm having a lot of pain. I would call the drs office but they aren't open right now and well, my back is killing me.

Recent research has shown that using an (electric) heating pad during pregnancy increases the chance of miscarriage by 80%.

The increased chances of miscarriage were due to electro magnetic fields.

A normal heating pad (non electrical) I do believe is ok. As long as you have a towel or something between you and the heating pad.

Make sure you stop using the heating pad after like 10 minutes or so and then go back to it after the break.

I used one when I was pregnant. Its not good to go to sleep with one on even when you are not pregnant cause you can get burned.

yes, you are okay to use a heating pad. I hope that you feel better.
