...sometimes I'll see the line right next to me turn over twice while I wait.

And, there is always someone in front of me with 100 coupons to process, and they insist to get the EXACT change dug out from 30 different pockets and purses. >:-(

There is a worldwide conspiracy among all the checkout people to make sure you are made to wait longer than anyone else in the store.

I always have that problem to and it always happens on the one day that you didn't want to go in to start with but I think we might just make up in our own minds sometimes that it happens all the time. And usually there is never another check out line open or there is a million people in that line to. And then when the other line does shorten up you go get in it and somebody jumps in there right before you with a million items but now you lost your spot with the other line and have to start all over again. Since the person that was in the way all of a sudden happened to finish right when you moved. LOL. It really pisses me off to so I know where you are coming from but usually what can go wrong will go wrong. That's why I like to go at night. Nobody really there to be in the way. LOL.

It's all in perspective. The grass is always greener on the other side. AND it's also due to the fact that we are always in a hurry to get somewhere. If We slow down to note the benefits of what we have and where we are, we'll realize that time already goes fast enough.

Because.people see you, like me,coming! They know when you leave the house & set up the runners to interfear with your day. Try leaving the house at a certain time..then stop for one minute somewhere, that should be enough time to throw the bastards out of timing. They should not be in your way after that!

I suspect that it is not true. Whenever you get into a fast line, you don't notice how slowly the other lines are moving -- but when you are in a slow line, you notice how fast the other ones are.

Pay more attention to the good things that are happening to you.

It's only because they want to annoy you and not hire new people to work in the store who actually have a High School Diploma or GED who have skills enough to scan a bar code quickly.

Even if someone is behind you ,push your way out and make a scene. They may realize the problem and open another lane.Or,bring your stuff to the area that sells the cigs and lotto tickets in the bigger supermarkets.

Murphy's Law.

If something can go wrong, it will go wrong.

And while we're on the topic... why do people use the drive-thru if they are making an enormous order? ie, picking out four dozen donuts?
