Have you married a person, gotten into a carrer, bought something, or whatever, thinking it would make you happy? Were you right or wrong?
I was wondering about this after I saw an add for a book that builds on the premise that people are really not good at predicting what will make them happy--I forget the name of the book but it is on Barn's and Noble . . .

not very, but knowing that has made me happy,life is full of the most suprising things, when we embrace life we embrace all emotions.
happiness comes and goe like the wind,do you think we could catch and keep the wind ?

Are you thinking of the book Stumbling On Happiness by Daniel Gilbert? It's got a white cover with a bowl of cherries.
I think I could predict what would make me happy in the long run... my problem is that these things seem so unattainable. What I can't seem to do is find happiness in everyday things.

I usually get what I want which makes me happy. I enjoy my career, my house, my car and my husband, so I must be doing ok, maybe it's the luck of the Irish.
