have you tried family tree? do you have any information about them? If you know what adoption attorney placed you in your home, you could call his office and speak to him. Introduce yourself and tell him if he could contact your birth parents and that you would like to meet them if its perfectly alright.
Your State might have a registry where birth parents as well as adopted children place information to be contacted when one or the other has an interest in doing so. Have you tried asking your parents if they have any information they could give you?

Wish you Luck...
