I currently drive a automatic automobile in the US. Under the tachometer I only see 1-9, odometer I see the speed in mph. I know that RPM means rotations per minute but how do you calculate that when driving?

RPM is the speed that your crankshaft is rotating. Your transmission is what relates the RPM to the actual road speed via gears. and 1-9 is in thousands of RPM, so 1 is 1000 RPM, while 9 is 9000 rpm.

it can be calculated from size (circumference) of the wheel+tire, your final gear ratio, the gear of the tranny that youre in, and the speed youre currently going IIRC, assuming the torque converter in your auto isnt slipping.

It means "rounds per minute". There should be a small switch located on the dash under the cigarette lighter. It's marked "9mm". Right behind the grille, next to the left headlight, there is a Gatling gun modified to fire 9mm rounds. The switch on the dash activates this gun and sets the rounds per minute rate. There is a red trigger located on the gearshift lever. You can adjust the rate of fire from 0-9000 rounds per minute, depending on traffic conditions. The dial on the dash tells you what rate you have selected so you don't have to break visual contact with the target. You can also set the weapon to fire one round, bursts of three at a time, or fully automatic, where as long as you hold the trigger down, the gun is spraying lead. I suggest you load the weapon with a green tracer every fifth round so you can aim better at night. This should all be in your manual.

It's revolutions per minute, for the motor. 1-9 means 1,000-9,000 revolutions per minute.
