I have a GE stove and dishwasher that are only about 6 years old, but the fronts are impossible to clean. After only about 2 years a kind of greasy heavy film developed on the oven and dishwasher door (outside). I've tried regular lyson kitchen cleaner, 409, scrubbing bubbles, and orange glo (which made it much worse). Any suggestions?

Have you tried the Mr. Clean magic eraser. I use it on my fridge all the time. There is a slight texture on the fridge that seems to trap dirt and cleaning solutions. I've used the eraser and it cleans very good. If the grease build up on the oven door is on the glass part of it, use an SOS pad very lightly. It will cut through the grease. Depending on the finish on the dishwasher you may want to try an SOS pad, again very lightly to cut through the grease. There is also another product called Simple Green that cuts through all types of grease. They sell it at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. My husband used it to clean grease on the floor of the garage. It does have a very strong odor to it , but is not harmful in anyway. Good Luck.

you have to be waiting to maintain your black refrigerator looking like new via cleansing it with the comparable detergent you employ for laundry the dishes. upload it to a pair water and sparkling utilising a sponge. Rinse the refrigerator with vinegar to do away with any residue and shop the shine. Dishwashing liquid rather makes a large all-purpose kitchen air purifier. comparable is going to your range.=)

I would try just plain old vinegar. My dad uses vinegar when he cleans all the appliances in the kitchen and it works really well. You may be surprised what vinegar can do. I don't think that it matters as to what kind of vinegar is used but he usually uses the plain white vinegar.

OrangeGlo probably leaves more of a film.

Try Wndex or windshield washer fluid (cheaper and effective), that should cut thru the grime.

***MY HUSBAND'S CAR PRODUCTS***
To get the greasy, sticky film off, I use the stuff that takes the bugs off the headlights.
I also sneak out to the car and get my husband armour all products, they work great on black appliances and black TV's and computers, it shines everything up nice just like it does for the tires and dashboard!!
