It's not illegal in most states to have sex under the age of 18. It IS VERY ILLEGAL for someone over the age of 18 to have sex with someone under the age of 18...statutory rape. But if two consenting kids want to have sex all day, there is nothing that people can do about it. Just wrap it up and have fun.

just like what ladychristmas said u rn't mature enough to do it u don't want to get pregnat at say the age of 9 or 10 or 11 or etc. i think if ur under 18 u should wait big time just try to understand what i am trying to tell u ok? and let me tell u something else my friend cassidy is 19 and when she was 10 she had sex and was pregnant when she was 11 had her rright before her b-day he is a cute baby but write now he is 8 and cassidy is 19 so think of that u don't want to be a dad if ur very l young get what i am telling u?

Because you are still considered a youth/juvenile until you are 18! Also....when you have sex there's always the possibilty of making a baby, no matter what type of birth control you use...and under 18 is SO not the best time to bring children into this world!! Just wait.

Anyone under the age of sex has no idea what they are getting themselves into. You are just children for goodness sake.

You are not mature and not responsible to handle what comes with having sex, you just want to be grown when all you need to worry about is getting an education.

Sex leads to AIDs

Children cannot handle these adult things and you are a child.

Your body, including your brain still have a lot of growing to do. There are things that a young mind cannot grasp or can misunderstand. You get easily taken advantage of with out even knowing it. A bad experience can cut you to the core and leave a "scar" on the rest of your life.
It is dangerous and children don't fully understand that it is really that dangerous.

It's not really illegal. Have you ever heard of teenagers getting arrested for having sex (well, excluding having sex in public... cuz thats illegal no matter what age). It's illegal for a person above 18 to have sex with a person below 18, as it should be because thats just sick. An adult has no business messing around with a minor.

Well, Im asuming you live in the USA and if you do then it's not. The only way it is illegel is if you are say,18 doing it with even a17 or younger. or if you are 40 with a 15 year old then that is illegel and sick... Dating laws though are if you are 18 u can date 16...21 u can date 17..and so forth but that doesn't include having sex with them even when you are dating

its not illegal to have sex under the age of 18--at least not here in the usa--but the laws have made it that someone who is thirty-something---and they have sex with a 14 yr old--it is deemed wrong--

teenagers will be teenagers---curious about their body and the feeling they are keeping inside---and no law can keep a teenager from being horny---

The same reason you can't vote until you're 18, or drink until you're older (the drinking age used to be 18), or smoke until you're 18: you're not mature enough, and don't have enough experience to make a reasonable decision. I know that people are going to hate me for that but I think it's true. I certainly wasn't mature enough before I was 18 to make that life-changing decision. You may not think it's a big deal now but is should be. I'm going to say that again. It SHOULD be a big deal, but you don't think it is - yet.
