Traditional as in they wish women couldn't vote or work, blacks were still slaves, all religions except theirs are wrong, all Latinos are rapists, murderers and drug dealers, and of course someday in between beers and hits of Meth use they will become rich and move out of their trailer so they believe the rich shouldn't be taxed. They live and breathe Fox channel 24/7 when not here spreading lies they heard on a Fox or made up themselves. Of course this is not true of all of them just the majority on Y/A.

Conservatism in the United States is mainly comprised of three ideologies. First, you have social conservatism, which is concerned with preserving social norms (since many of the social norms in America are derived from the church, most people tend to associate conservative Christian thought with conservative politics).
Then, there is fiscal conservatism, which is basically wants to limit taxation and government spending.
The last ideology is economic liberalism, with its emphasis on the free market economy .
(Add a more assertive stance on foreign policy, and you have neoconservatism.)

They believe the series of reasons Bush gave for attacking Saddam and his country (more than a dozen so far).
That's many more that 3 or 4 beliefs that you ask for.
They say they believe in smaller government, but they promote and support MORE!!
They would rather give up their freedom in exchange for death, a damaged environment and higher prices across the board.

They believe in the constitutional mandates to "promote Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility and to provide for the common Defense".
They believe that stability comes with conformity, and that traditional values should not be quickly discarded. They believe that freedom of choice should be limited for the common good, and that it's the role of government to keep people from making harmful choices. They believe that security is necessary, and that other social aspects cannot be addressed while there is danger from outside. They believe that it is the role of government to look out for the moral welfare of its people, not to subsidize them financially with handouts.
From there, a split exists. The older fiscal conservatives believe in small government, and lower taxes.
The newer conservatives (neo-cons) abandoned the small-government model, seeing the advantage of a strong federal government to advance their social agenda. They keep taxes low by borrowing from other countries (raising the national debt) rather than raising taxes.

Conservatives think they reject government involvement in the economy. They think they support personal freedom and low taxes. They are fooling themselves.
Every time they drive on a road or turn on the water or turn on the TV or go to the bank they are supporting government involvement in the economy. Also every time they eat inspected meat or use a tested drug. They say they support personal freedom but not for things they disagree with like private sex between consenting adults of the same sex, or medically sanctioned abortions. 40 % of the taxes we all pay now goes to interest on the national debt, meaning it buys ZERO, NOTHING, ZIP, NADA--it goes to Communist China and finances all of their forced abortions. And we got that debt from cutting taxes on billionaires and financing the Iraq War. So conservatives are more than anything else self decieved, shallow, gullible, and foolish.

Someone who says they want to protect unborn life , but could care less about life after it's born. (unless youre one of the rich and powerful) Someone who thinks they can push their religious views onto everybody else. Someone who believes we should no longer have constitutional rights because of 911. tapped phones, read your emails, watch your bank transactions, search your house without a warrant, can arrest you without charges and hold you indefinately and then convince you its all for your own good. What happened to smaller goverment and fiscal responsibility .

I would say that conservatives tend to be greedy in that they want to be happy without caring about the repercussions for what might happen to someone or something else. Then again, this tends to be a trend with humanity in general.
