Microsoft has more hardware support with third party vendors. You'll often find more games that are nativly written for Microsoft. However, If you're into multimedia and graphics rendoring, go with a Mac. Oh one more thing, since Apple has started using Intel based CPUs, the gap is now becoming smaller and there is more interoperabilty between the the two, especially since Mac OS is based around a Darwin BSD (Unix distribution). Darwin isn't really PC compatible but many Unix derived distributions are which is also closing the gap in differences.

Mr.J,

Go with Microsoft because it will do better for you in the long run...
Apple has glitches in there software and the computer system.
I know from experience of working with Microsoft and Apple. I used to help people install the software on their personal computers from where I went to school. I hope this helps.

Get a mac. go and check what you get for your money with a mac. they are constantly upgrading the OS , when did microsoft last do that? years ago.
Look at the iLife suite and you will be sold.
Also it's not much more expensive, and they all run on intel chips and everything seems like its going universal anyway

Not a lot of games are compatible with Macs.
Looking to get stuff done, like 3d rendering and modeling or other intensive stuff...get the Mac.
