Or do they just enjoy bashing the national scapegoat? I'm not questioning the thinking capability of a typical liberal man, of course.

I was wondering if you die-hard liberals can do better if you were in his position. If so, please state what they are.

He made mistakes, yes, and he definitely deserves the criticism. That's not the point.

I give up. I'm sure there are smart liberals somewhere out there who know how to make the U.S. a better place. Unfortunately, only fifteen-year-old liberals hang out here.

There is no thinking capability to question so don't worry about that. I have yet to see a plan, it's been 6 years since the President has come into office. This President came in with the reputation of being non partisan while governor of Texas. The Democrats have not brought forth any credible solution to anything. They have done more whining than the law should allow. I guess to the kids, this may look cool, but to real adults, they look pretty pathetic. I'm still waiting for the better solution. I'm not holding my breath though.

Look, the man keeps making horrible mistakes that nobody can figure a way out of. Can you think of a way out of the war he insisted on starting in Iraq? I can't, but that doesn't mean he should escape criticism for starting it, does it? Just because you can't revive a murder victim doesn't mean that the murderer shouldn't get held to account.

OK, here are some solutions to the problems he has created. Not perfect, but better. 1--put Saddam Hussein back in power in Iraq and back him up with all the muscle we can so he can stabalize his fractured country and again be a counterweight against Iran which for now has won the Iraq war. 2--repeal the tax cuts for billionaires and make them pay off the national debt he, Bush, ran up to Communist China. That is one trillion dollars, quite a debt, and it is the reason the dollar is down in value which is the reason imports (OIL) are up. 3--start giving grants to cities and states again like all Presidents before him back to FDR did so they can afford to do business. 4--start funding education properly and get religion out of science classes so the US might be able to compete in the world economy again at some future time. 5--tax all of the churches that broke tax regulations by backing him in the 2000 and 2004 elections with full penalties and interest. 6--vigorously sieze assets of the energy companies and their stockholders responsible for the California electricity deregulation fraud scam and refund the money to the victims. 7--get serious about environmental issues including global warming and toxic emissions. 8--remove his appointees from the Supreme Court, impeach them, whatever needs to be done, and replace them with justices who actually LIKE the Constitution. 9--close Guantanamo Bay Prison and all the gulag prisons this country has no business running, no more torture, no more holding people without charges or bail. Respect the Constitution.
That would be a good start. Don't you agree that would help reverse some of the damage he's done?

I hate Bush. Plain and simple. He's criticized for a reason, okay? Actually, he's criticized for a plethora of reasons. When you ask about having better solutions, does Bush really even have a "solution?" I look at it more as asinine plans he concocts, and abusing his power as President, he can actually set them into motion. Yay. Lucky us. EVERYONE has different plans and strategies, but you ask this question because you've just never heard of them. After all, Bush has television, radio, many different means of communication. We're just average citizens who can't get our ideas and "solutions" out there unless we post them in forums on the Internet (which no one will really read) or have actual personal discussions with other people. Besides, that a$$hole is so deadset on his own ideas based on his RELIGION (which totally should not be an influence in his decisions that'll affect the entire nation) that he wouldn't listen to anyone else's thoughts anyway.

Start with following the law. If the law doesn't work, change it.

Don't just ignore it. The ends, however noble, don't justify criminal means.

Example: warrantless wiretaps. The existing laws allow warrant reviews by a secret court (FISA) that is not subject to public review. Bush never bothered to go to the court.

The argument was that in a national security crisis, there may not be time to go before the court. The existing laws already cover that. It allows the wiretap to be put in place, as long as the government petitions the court for a warrant within 72 hours afterwards.
Bush never bothered to go to the court.

Bush could have gotten the law changed by going to Congress and asking for the law to be changed. He didn't bother doing that either. He just chose to ignore the law because he didn't like any limitations being placed one executive authority.

And for someone who swore an oath to see that the laws of this country are faithfully executed, willful violation of federal law is a betrayal of that oath of office. For no valid reasons, because he could have done all of the same things within the bounds of law. There were other solutions, one that followed and respected the laws.

Bush just doesn't care about following the law.

Well, in 911 we were attacked on our soil. For as much Bush bashing as I have seen has anyone seen any wars on our soil? No, I didn't think so. I am actually more afraid of what the next President is going to be like.

first of all, bush is creating these problems. remember, he told the CIA agent who told him on 8/6/2001 that bin laden was determined to strike within the u.s., "Okay, you've covered your a**, you can go now." And then Bush extended his vacation (after warning all his buddies not to fly!)

They simply think that if the Democrats were in power, we would live in a perfect world w/absolutely no problems or enemies and everybody would just love us!
When asked how they would achieve this, they would reply "Umm..we would be in power! duh!"
