I tend to be sarcastic with a very, very dry sense of humor. It's not the best combination, but it is me. So I guess I appreciate them more than most. Of course there is a fine line between sarcasm and being rude.

Yeah. Sarcasm is a form of humor which sometimes contains a kernel of truth. But if you dish it out, you gotta be able to take it. Most of the sarcasm I've seen on Y/a is justified. You gotta problem wit dat?

Sarcasm comes in many forms. I prefer the sarcastic (and often funny) quip. It can often reflect an intelligent humor. The kind that implies they are superior to you in some indefinable way can be very insulting. "Duh!" falls on my short list...and I resist using it (but I can "think" it safely)...and then there's the the truly nasty remark that doesn't deserve comment.

Where I live, everyone is sarcastic. In fact, it takes me off guard when I am sarcastic and someone doesn't get it.
I LOVE sarcasm!!
BUT...don't use it in a fight, very important!!

No, it always seems like a personal attack and it REALLY pisses me off. Sarcasm towards another person is just a way of someone saying "God, you are stupid! You are such a dumbass loser!" I don't really think there is much humor in sarcasm, the way the general population uses it.
