I don't think they were protesting to liberate the religion Islam.
They are all some very different folks in the Middle East.
I think the protest was about asking if America could keep it's nose out of the entire area.
If you need to fight a war on terror, fight it. If part of fighting that war means withdrawing involvement from all of the middle east, then I'm for it. Also the war on terror would be much better fought if our borders weren't hanging wide open with people pouring accross every day.
I mean, at least if we're going to fight terrorism, we could take protective measures as well.

There are over a billion Muslims in the world. Not all of them are going to have the same opinion. Some are going to protest against Israel rationally and peacefully. Others are going to call for a violent solution. The violent people are not going to solve anything by killing people, that just makes things worse. Israel's violent invasion of Lebannon didn't make things better did it?

Ah, the right to protest, America the beautiful. There should be thousands more in the street, protesting Bush's illegal war for personal gain. He stirred up the pot in the mid-east for no good reason other then to drive up the price of oil. He should be held accountable for his criminal activity.
