You probably set the printer as your default. You need to change that back to the connected printer.

If the printer is already marked as the default then the setting you created is now pointing the printer to the wrong location. To change this you need to select printer and right click. Select the properties from the drop down menu. Select the PORTS tab. IF this is a direct connected printer then select either the USB or LPT port depending on how the printer is connected.

If Taztug'ds response does not work, completely uninstall and reinstall, follow each step carefully, even after many years, I get the "know how to do this" bug and bypass something unique to the particular system (for example like forgetting to load a USB driver or something dumb like that. Brain Farts always get me. Look for the simplest first.
