should I take a chance with it?.....i'm new to this........this guy is a drill instructor and it's sooo hard for me when he calls for 20mins. and have to get off the phone and barely gets a day off.....how can i stay strong?

I will agree with you that dating a military person is one of the hardest things because it seems as if they are always gone. Also, unfortunately, their job will come first because if it doesn't they can go to jail for "a-wall." My best advice is if you want to wait and are willing to wait, go for it but if you are upset, then move on, (he may retire so it might get harder or easier). Whoever said relationships are easy? This is how it will be. Ask yourself...is this what I want. Am I content, happy, fulfilled, What do I want for my future...do I want family...do I want to be in a relationship or marriage even that is held in these circumstances? Could I trust him when hes away? Does he love me? Does he want to LOVE and Commit?..or just feel like there is someone waiting for him...loving him..making him feel needed. making him feel like a man? Is this what I want..Is he what I want? If in the end all points to staying in this relationship then the way to stay strong will come along with the love and trust that is created between you two. Always keep the attitude that you BOTH are in the relationship and if all is REAL then you should never find yourself by yourself. good luck and I hope this helps!

if you can take a long distance relationship take the chance if not then you are not going to be happy

If he is not available often enough to keep you content, you need to look elsewhere. If he is, stay with it. simple as that.
