you have a heat control valve inside the hood area . it ties between your heater hose gointo the cowl of your car. check and see if it has a vaccum hose on it or a cable and check to see if it is operating.this valve controls the heat coming from your heater core.

Sounds to me like your mode doors are stuck in a/c position.
