read the small print. You could be on the phone for a long time to discover you have won a really cheap/worthless prize like a pen or a comb. Everybody needs pens and combs, but you could buy one for much cheaper than the phone call. I think if everybody took the trouble to read the small print and discover what a rip-off they are, they would soon stop producing these things. have you ever tried one of these phone numbers? They use valuable time telling you you are welcome and you are about to discover what a marvellous prize you have won. Then they start telling you about the prizes that go with the codes. There are no short cuts. There are loads of two-pence prizes, a handful of half decent prizes and one really good prize. The odds are not good. Don't bother.
We did once win a holiday where you only paid for the meals but when we got there the price of 'the meal' was also the official price of ''dinner bed and breakfast". Fortunately, like the answerer that went to Paris, it was still a good holiday.

Yes a few times and the prize is always a Holiday of some kind where you have to pay a great deal of money to cover the insurance, or you have won the flights, and not the hotel costs, and the other thing is a money of voucher that you must use with certain company's, and end up paying more for the trip that you would without them. They are one thing, a CON

Some of the night security guards at my building used to do them all the time. One guy won a few hundred quid and some electrical goods over 6 months or so.
The only way he 'won' was because he was using the company phone and obviously not paying the bill. I don't think he was ever found out either?!

I wouldn't touch these with a bargepole!
Have you seen the price - £1.50 per minute and the call lasts for 6 minutes!!
I reckon the only winner is the company!
