All good things do come to an end, as do all bad things. Celebrate the joy of the moment because the moment passes. Even a life-long love has ups and downs. While the joy of the moment will pass, there will be new joys awaiting along with new trials. The trials make the joyous moments all the sweeter. A life of unremitting pleasure would have little contrast to highlight the pleasure.
Life is good. It ends. Enjoy it while it lasts - including the moments of joy and moments of sorrow.

I think that's a stupid remark. All good things do not HAVE to come to an end, they often do of course, but it is not a given.

You cant have good that last forever because you cant have good without bad. If you did we wouldnt know what good was because we have no way to know that its good without knowing a bad exapmle
