I wish black peope would quit using race as an excuse for everything, there are plenty of black peopke who are doing well for thmselves, if a person is not doing as well as they would like they should try harder.

Some (not all) people r arrogant & contribution takes a back seat 2 competition. 2 many people, sharing is not an option; dadly, it's considered a weakness. That's why the world is in the mess it's in. Personally, I believe in contribution; not competition.
No 1 group should b running everything. The world is big enough 2 b shared.
Some have asked me why there're separate magazines, TV shows, beauty pageants, colleges, universities, etc. I said that when people r constantly belittled; ignored; locked out; left out &/or just simply tolerated, it's better 2 have ones own entities 2 recognize ones own accomplishments; to affirm ones own 2 counter-attack the constant negatives... bc of how things unfortunately are. God is not pleased.
Confident (not arrogant) people don't have 2 step on others toes.
Happy Sabbath.

With an attitude like yours, you will never get any where. It wouldn't matter what color you are.
If you have some bad experiences, learn from them and move on. Get up and start again. You are a stong woman, use your assets and be proud to be a great, black woman in society. Be a model for the young girls you know.
We can do anything we want to regardless of color, money and everything else people use for an excuse.

A lot of times we have to go overboard to gain the successes of our European counterparts. I notice that in some of the answers only one Black person is mentioned, they can't think of any others.
When I worked at MBNA a few years ago, my manager was 24 years old, barely finished high school and didn't have that much work experience. Guess what? He was White. Show me a manager who happens to be Black with that low of credentials. We will be hard pressed to find one.
In the meantime, try to concentrate on reaching your goals, there will ALWAYS be people of any race trying to tear you down and keep you down.

I'm Filipino. Because I believe that we have to work harder in terms of bridging borders between cultures, some say we have peace between each other but it's still a "myth". We, peoples of the world still don't understand each other very well. I believe that every person in every race be given the opportunity to succeed, no one from a diffrent race should interfere by any means.

hopefully over time, and the consequences of slavery have lessened within the black community, it may be our time
have you ever thought that when egypt ruled the world that that was our time to shine??
maybe this power thing goes through a cycle and we're just in the cycle where we're floating along the bottom

That's a false statement many black people have high power jobs because they took the time to gain a education and apply themselves

Not true at all. Blacks have every opportunity whites do and even more. Blacks can pull the "we be black we be slaves" card anytime they want. The problem with that card is we've seen it so many times, it's getting old. It's time that blacks started pulling their own weight, earning their own checks instead of government checks, and stop blaming everyone else for their problems. There's college funds, schoalrships, loans etc... public transportation to get to college, work-4-credit, computers at the library if you don't have one and the list goes on. So quit your whining.
