I'll second the recommendation for Frank Peretti. The Visitation and This Present Darkness would be two titles I'd recommend to start off with. He has written many more, but those are two of my favorites. (I didn't really care for Monster too much, and I haven't read his latest one.) But his books are really good.

Screw Tape Letters by C.S. Lewis would also be something you should consider reading. It is very good. The Great Divorce is good too. The Last Battle, the final book in the Chronicles of Narnia, also comes to mind. The whole series is excellent...and many deal in an allegorical way with spiritual warfare...but I think The Last Battle does so more than the others.

Also you might see if you could find an adaptation of Pilgrim's Progress in modern English. That might be something interesting for you to read. I have read it several times--not updated--and it does take some patience or a glossary. But it is definitely about spiritual warfare.

Other Christian fiction allegories I'd recommend...I liked reading Hind's Feet In High Places by Hannah Hurnard. I don't know if it counts as 'spiritual warfare' but it is about the struggle of the Christian life.

Right now Dan Brown seems to have a corner on this market. I think Angels and Demons was better than The DiVinci Code, but I enjoyed them both immensely.

Hadn't even thought of the Bible... but no duh, that would be great! Hm. Pilgrim's Progress is a classic. I highly suggest it. Jane Eyre is really a classic - but is Christian too. But, it's really a novel that has Christian characters.
