I have a Gateway laptop that I bought in January of this year. Within the past couple of months, the monitor flickers black. The entire display goes in and out. Mostly, it happens when I first turn the computer on but it it seems really random. There doesn't seem to be anything that I'm doing in common when it happens. When I open and close the screen, it fixes it temporarily so I'm inclined to think there is something wrong with the connection between the lcd screen and the computer. I am still covered under my warranty and I sent the computer back to Gateway twice for repairs. Each time it came back with the same problem. My question has two parts. 1) Any idea what could be wrong with it and 2) Can I sue Gateway for a defective piece and failure to comply with the warranty by not fixing the problem?

umm 1) it can just be a defective monitor, maybe you put something heavy on it and that could have ruined the monitor, if you banged it against something, it may be a virus (has your computer itself been slow??)
2) i wouldn't go through the trouble of sueing.... i would just call gateway and tell them your problem...explain to them that you have already sent it back twice and you demand a new computer!
good luck

one among some issues is taking position. both the show screen is going out meaning you'll favor to purchase a sparkling one quickly, your video card ought to correctly be going undesirable, or your getting surges on your line. be particular your show screen and laptop are linked to a surge secure ability strip. it is uncommon to work out a video card causing flickering on a show screen, even at the same time as it is going undesirable, so i ought to seem at the different 2 first.
