Beethoven: The Ninth Symphony, the choral piece is called Ode To Joy and is the Official Anthem of the European Union.
The treatment is called the Ludwig treatment after Ludwig van Beethoven.

i don't know but i know Beethoven's 9th (or is it 5th) symphony is in there...it's his favorite song. Anyway, good to know someone else is thinking about this great movie. I'm gonna watch it later, thanks for reminding me.
