Yes you do , but branch out of this brit pop stuff ! some of it is very similar , If i were to just pick three bands from your list they would be The Smiths ( THey were the god fathers of brit pop they inspired that whole oasis ,blur thing in the 90`s ) The libertines are very poetic and gifted but i think that carl barat has gone down a very commerical route with Pretty Dirty Things ,whereas Dohertys is a waster ,he has one of the best portic minds in the worls but has been ruined by drugs.Morrissey was in The Smiths . You should start listening to the Beatles,Radiohead , Ramones , Blondie ,David Bowie , The Housemartins (Norman Cooks aka Fatboy slim orginial band ) .These bands build the foundations of what your listening to now but they have a much more fresh outlook its not just about the Acradian dream but about ,youth ,love ,expression and the celebration of all things unconventional !

yes my young warrior-indeed you do-its a shame that relatively recent bands are usually forgotten by people your age and its great to see that you have a very broad reference to the tunes-i was especially pleased to see the jam in there-im an old geezer and was around in the days of the jam at thier best-now humour me a little but you have to remember that when i was young, music was all, everything and the only real source of entertainment-you had to get your records on vinyl and you couldnt download them etc-which is why i think i cherish my records like i do-you had to work to get them!!
if you like the jam then check out the kinks,if you like the smiths then check out early joy division.shame about the libertines-couldve been great.dont give any thought to anybody who says the tunes aint cool-if they move you and make you feel good then does it really matter what anyone else thinks?someone once said that all the good tunes had already been written and if you subscribe to that then youve got one foot in the past and the other in the present-youll be much better informed about music that way and some of the bands you listed are much more of an influence on todays music than most people will ever know-keep on keeping on with your music and im sure you will develope into a know it all music god like me!!!!

dont listen to those people, they probably had a hard time understandint the whole concept of good music.your taste in music is fine, it doesnt suit me but its all relative, thats kinda like asking what time it is on a different planet, its all relative to the eyes of the beholder.you have a good taste in music im sure but when you get older, probably even in a year, youll outgrow some of your interests in music and get new ones.i mean all sorts of music you think is great now you probably will hate in 10 years.

Well since everyone likes different types of music you might not ever get the answer you want which is obviously yes so this was probably not a good question to ask.

The Stone Roses and Morrissey are the only ones I would care for from your list. What ever you like though, you like. There are a lot of people who wouldn't care for what I listen to.

Who the f*** cares what your song style is? I hate after I see children wearing Nirvana shirts, and also you go as a lot as them and say, "So, newborn, what's your admired music?" and they do no longer comprehend who Nirvana is. So, i'm satisfied that you extremely have actual style in song, and purely shop doing what you do because that is all good.

Friend...

You have good taste. Some excellent groups there. However, you invalidated the respect when you asked the question.
Seeking approval is never cool. Do you think any of those bands go around saying "Was i good?.. Do we have style???"
Being cool is about being cool. Not looking over your shoulder to check that everyone likes your style.

My nephew is the same age as you, and that looks pretty much like the contents of his MP3 player, except he likes Metallica & Def Leppard.
If you like the music it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Be proud of your individuality.

You should've lived in the eighties, dude. Hey, when I was younger, used to listen to "old" music too, older than I am, that is. So, who are we to judge. In fact, for me, it means you got personality (whatever that means) and you're definitely not a "sheep" like most of da gangsta 'n hoes...

I would go along with some of your choices (cannot stand Babyshambles) but most happy to see Morrissey is still speaking to small children.
