you're either watering the plant too much or too little...trying watering it three times a week.

I believe that it means that they have too much exposure from sunlight and not enough water in the soil to keep it hydrated. Maybe put it in the shade and water when you can. Some plants are required to be in full sun or partial shade. It depends on the plant.

from the looks of the ones on my front porch, I'd say it is the hot weather, I water them every evening, & usually that is enough, but the heat has been so terribly hot this summer, nothing would help them I even fertilized them once every 2 weeks but that didn't even help.I think next year I will just put out silk flowers, so much money wasted from all the heat. It's a sad thing, but nothing we can do about it, just grin & bear it. Have a nice day.

It could be many things, too much water, not enough water or even salt burn. You haven't given us enough info to give a better answer. You didn't even say what kind of plant!
Good luck.

Not enough water in very hot weather or they may be plants that are supposed to be in partial shade and they are getting too much direct sunlight.

when they grow, they need more water,or nutriants, thats why only the ends get brown, they get enough for most of the plant, but just fall short of the rest.
