When a re-build is done on a transmission a kit is used to replace worn seals o-rings and gaskets.Kits depending on type and size will very in price.Today's transmissions take less parts than older ones that had bands that had to be replaced .Shifting automatically is mostly controlled by the vehicles cpu or other electronic control system.But pressure is still the major function.Thus when slippage or leaking and noise begin or appear it's time for an overhaul..
