Not telling them to shut up,to leave you alone, or to never talk to you, etc..... but kind of liek to leave her hints that I don't want to talk to her. She is annoying and critical!

Put this on your answering machine:

"I am not available right now, but thank you for caring enough to call. I am making some changes in my life. Please leave a message after the beep. If I do not return your call, you are one of the changes."

How would you rate your friendship? If it is a good one, why would you not be able to be honest, and sit this person down and tell the truth? This will give you an indication of "how" good the friendship is. A true friendship will be able to stand these little storms, and survive. A true friend will appreciate your honesty, when others would simply walk away or not speak to them again. It's up to you, really, and how you feel about the friendship. If it is otherwise worth having, be honest.

Do not be available to her. Don't answer the phone and don't go where she is. Just tell her that you are busy and don't have the time for her. Sooner or later she will get the message.
