sometimes give them money and sometimes walk away. some of those people just refuse to use the money they or their families have. and others, you can see they're handicapped and they really do need the help. this one time in montreal, i saw this man who had one leg and he was sitting outside in the blazing heat looking for some change. i couldn't help but give him some money. i mean whether they really deserve it or not, it made me feel just a little better to see that i could maybe help them get at least one meal.

I was homeless for a couple of weeks in 1995.
When I see a homeless person, I go over to them and try to make eye contact. If they are sane (it is easy to lose your mind out in the elements all day, every day, dealing with the things they deal with) I talk to them. If they seem to want money, I give them money. I am careful not to show how much money I have and I am careful about where I am when I give them money.
I have actually asked homeless people to go with me to McDonalds, to a bar if one is so close they could walk over (I don't want someone who's sweated all day making my car smell) so that I could buy a round of beers, and tried to give advice, though I am sure it went unheeded.
You have to be very careful when dealing with the homeless out on the streets.

I have a very hard time just walking by for several reasons. When I was growing up my mom, always a religious woman, use to say to never turn anyone away because you might be turning Jesus or an Angel away.
Today, when someone asks for money and they are young, I think of my children. What if my children were ever in need and someone like me turned them away.
Also, my oldest sibling has a mental disease. I think about him and hope that if he ever needed help someone would help him.
I don't like to give money because I'm afraid they will use it on alcohol or drugs. So, if we are around a store, I will take them inside and have them do some shopping for food and I will pay. I very rarily give cash.

there are plenty of jobs hiring without experience. Many programs that will house them if they stop drinking and drugs, and come home on time. there is no excuse for that I'm sorry. They can work for their own money or if need be government assistance for those who are not able to work because of disabilities. there forth I pass them by. or get an application and pass them out. I've seen homeless people work for money and finally get things better going in life.

Every time I see a homeless person, I cover my purse with my hand and wrinkle my nose like I've just smelled a really stinky fart and get as quickly the heck away from that person as I can.

i could say provide $50 to each charity and $10 to ten negative or homeless human beings. would I say i desire God delivers lots advantages for being such an unselfish man or woman. i do not recognize how previous you're, yet am guessing you're a teenager because you purchased money on your birthday. what number of human beings could be prepared to provide all of it to assist the needy. God bless.

I usually give them the change that's in my pocket if it's less than $20. You never know, they're probably nice people, and they probably need it more than I do.
