Enourmous amounts of office space for (mostly) the financial, banking, and publishing fields. Lots of banks, brokerages, investors, etc. As well as the restaurants and shops to serve them. Also alot of US and city and state government employees.

The buildings were massive multiple offices with so many different companies, they also had a large underground vault, the new york stock exchange (if you've seen the film trading places, you'll know) and wait..................... where did you get seven, did I miss something, there was only 2 twin towers, and one of the strange uncommon FACTS is that they were only insured against terrorist attacks 6 months before 9/11 even though the last terrorist attack on them was more than 10 years before 9/11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! strange but true!

The secret service had offices there. The State of NY had offices there. Merrill Lynch had offices there. Cantor Fitgerald had offices there. I am sure if you did a search on the internet you could come up with a tennent list.

I know Cantor Fitzgerald was the company that lost almsot all of its employees.
