I don't think anything is wrong with that. I'm not a goth, emo, or punk...I'm a cheerleader at my school, and I have all kinds of different friends. I mean I don't care how they dress, I care about if their good people and nice and friendly, and fun. You know? Don't let it get you down. You are who you are, people can accept it or not. Maybe try to be friends with everyone? Just be nice to everyone and they'll respect you. I promise. Anyone that makes an effort is worth giving the time to. Be confident.

I know a lot of teenagers who dress goth/emo/punk for the "shock factor" or to be "rebellious" and I find it a bit tacky and immature. Wear what you like, but keep in mind you're not original and you're not proving a point to anyone. You're buying into mainstream fashion, which completely contradicts the original intentions of the styles.
At least most people grow out of it by high school.

Emos positioned on female pants. Goths positioned on holiday pants. Emos have a perimeter. Goths rather do no longer. Emo is 2000-2009. Goth is ninety's. Emo is warm. nicely for my section. it extremely is unusual yet the two emo they say got here from goth, yet others say it got here from punk. i think of it got here from Tom Delonge.

Punk MUSIC is fine....but if you have to label yourself "punk" you are trying too hard. As for the music: I LOVE punk rock. And when I say "punk rock" I mean ACTUAL punk music, not this "we dress up like punkers to sell records to 13-year-olds, but we really play lame pop music" crap like Good Charlotte, Blink 182, etc. Those bands are just N-Sync with guitars!
As for goth music: It's OK...not bad, but not great.
Emo, on the other hand, has got to be one of the lamest, most retarded, most pathetic genres of music in the history of rock! Emo SUCKS!

There is nothing wrong with either trend. Most people fear what they don't understand. I don't. I know many young people who cinch themselves to the gothic lifestyle, they are the same people who would be the first in if my son were in a burning house. Why are you so hostile in your query, my friend? Did someone pi*s in your cornflakes? It's more about the attitude that is presented than the fashion trend....Have a nice day.

When punk was invented it wasn't something to be proud of. Punks were the outcasts, people that everyone looked down on. Now everyone is like "oh, punk is soo cool! blah blah blah"... yeah okay, you call yourself a punk, so what? Nobody cares!

There's nothing wrong with it, but you WILL grow out of it. Everyone goes through phases where they have to be "different".
Kicker is though, these "styles" are completely unoriginal, you don't look different, you look like everyone else who shops at Hot Topic and those stores are found at malls and nobody wants to be a mall rat, right?.
Do your own thing, it's far better.
