Busy - plan ahead as much as possible!
Early December would be better if you can manage that at all.

It is very CRAZY!!! I went to Disney (Magic Kingdom) on New Years Eve and it was soooo crowded!! It almost wasn't fun because there were so many people. I would definitely try NOT to bring a stroller with you if you don't have to, but make sure you keep a leash on your kids because there are THAT many people!! It was like being in a can of sardines, really! Surprisingly, the lines were not that bad, even with the crowds! I think everyone was trying to get a good spot for the fireworks show, and that was why the lines were not long. That was New Years Eve. I have also gone the day after Christmas and it wasn't too bad! I go to Disney all the time and have a pretty good idea for the crowd sizes!

One of the things I recommend is the Osborne Family Christmas light display at MGM. It is so beautiful and they even make it snow!!! There are thousands of light displays all over the buildings, all over the streets, everywhere! Can't miss it!

Honestly, if you want to have dinner there at the parks on Christmas day, or even a day close to Christmas, you better call and book it now. They may already be booked!

There are lots of things going on at Disney. Check out Disney's website for more info on that.

The weather is going to be GREAT!!! Best time of the year to visit, when it's cold, that is!

It could be just chilly or down right cold. We went in 04 and there was a strong cold front that blew through and it was not out of the 40's...
If you are there C-mas eve, plan to attend the candle light show telling the C-mas story. It is at Epcot and has a special guest celebrity speaker. The show is presented other nights, but C-mas eve is very spectacular. I believe there is a dinner/special seats you can reserve, but we didn't do that. We spent C-mas day at Magic Kingdom and it was glorious. There is no more special place to be. Each parks "main street" has snow falling... only it is bubbles, but you really can't tell the difference from the falling... only once it hits the ground. The lights at MGM are unbelievable. Try to be there for the "lighting" ceremony. They play music and put on a little show before they turn them on. AMAZING... makes you feel very much into the season. Very crowded after C-mas day, but if you don't mind the crowds, you will have a good time. The Disney Christmas parade that is shown on TV every year, it isn't taped C-mas day. Disney tapes it in sections through out the month of December... so don't expect a celebrity filled parade C-mas morning.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Disney over the Christmas/ New Year's holidays two years ago. We had a WONDERFUL time and the longest wait we had was 30 minutes at MGM! You need to sit down and plan what you want to do first. After you have which attractions you do not want to miss, the start planning for food. Call ahead for priorty seating. It is very crowded, but if you pick times that are reasonable, but not popular...it can help you in the longrun too. We would schedule lunch for 11am and dinner for 5pm. Then we would share a snack around the time for the last parade or fireworks. Also if you are staying at a disney resort, check ahead of time to see which resorts are open late for you that week. We would go to the park that was going to be open three hours later that night. Also, don't waste your money on park hoppers! We usually get the park hoppers when we go in the summer and want to go to different places for dinner or to a park that has more shade during the day. But...at Christmas, it is too busy to wait in line for monorails or buses. Don't waste the time. Also we were in Magic Kingdom on New Year's Day. They closed the park to all outside guests at 11am! It had reached capacity!! But we still didn't have long waits! THat morning, we got there bright and early while everyone else was sleeping in. We rode all the hot rides and then started at the back of the park and made our way up. Fast pass is a life saver too! Have fun!

We went the 2ND week of December last year and we are going back the 1st week of December this year. It wasn't that bad alot of baby strollers. The weather was great, we only needed a light jacket a couple times at night. It only rained 1 time and that was our last night there on the way back to the room. We stayed at Pop Century and it was very nice. If you are going and want to have any special meals i suggest you start now making arrangements. Disney opened up the window for reservations from 90 days to 180 days. I lucked out on lunch with the princesses. Have fun.

Orlando in December is very, very crowded. The temp can change a good deal. Take a jacket. Take some jeans and tees. Take some shorts. And an umbrella is good, too. Florida has some pretty good rain showers every couple of days or so. I love Orlando and Disney; you will too!

It's really pretty and nice! As far as the temperature in the winter, it's anywhere from 30 to 70 degrees... very nice temperatures. It's funny because you'll see people there in coats when it's 70 degrees.. Also, be prepared for it to be more crowded, especially at Disney World. Have fun if you decide to go and plan everything ahead!

Disney around Christmas time is AWESOME! It's so beautiful there! I'm from Ohio so any break in the snow is great for us! And being in the most magical place on Earth just made Christmas that much more special!

Worst time to go to the parks is from November until the end of January. The weather is normally nice but the parks are so packed (wait time is over 2 hours normally) & it's hard to get into a good restuarant & the hotel prices are alot higher.

My wifes family came down for Christmas and went to Disney on Christmas day, which I thought was strange. They said it was super crowded.
It was one of the coldest days since I have lived down here, its been 3 years.
It was in the 50's, though much warmer than up north. Several days later it was back up in the mid 70's.
Bring a jacket.
