Because if you slap them upside the head nowadays they can report you so you have to be nice to them. That's why they get away with so much crap simply because they can....

Kids only do what Mom & Dad allow them to do. "Slapping" them isn't the answer...lol Set the example and they will follow, if they are in their teens and lazy, then you might as well hang it up because they just didn't get lazy over night.
