Yes you can, in fact you can spit in the interviewers face also. I don't think it will help you get the job tho

As a former business owner, I would say no if you expect to get the job. I would have considered it tacky, rude, distracting, inconsiderate, and an indication that you were not really serious about the interview. You must present yourself in the best light on an interview. No one actually chewed gum during an interview with me, but had they I probably would have just put the application in File 13.

Never chew gum or have candy during an job interview. That is an big turnoff and you may be disqualified as an prospective candidate for the position.

absolutely not... you chew you lose... you don't get confidence from chewing it's a prop. If you need a prop then practice taking deep breathes and tell yourself that with each breath you are feeling more confident and it will work better then gum... BTW good luck with the interview.

You can, if you don't want the job. You're supposed to present youself in the best light to the interviewer.

No, never. Nobody ever looks good chomping on a piece of rubbery substance. Gain more confidants in your abilities and all will go well.
Good luck!

as I used to tell my kids, you may choose to do so. but don't expect to get the job, unless you're trying to work at a carwash or something!
