Ok my mom died when I was 8 I am now 14, but instead of the hurt going away it comes stronger. Why does it do this??? It seems like everything I do reminds me of my mom now, what should I do??? I have no older sisters, but I do have a friend that is 18, I just don't want to annoy her with all my problems. She is always at work too, so I don't know a good time to ask her if I can talk to her would be anyways.

its because your turning into a young women with all kinds of questions you only want to ask your mom. since she is not there for you and you have no older sisters, and you don't want to bother your friend with questions you feel isolated and alone about your changing body. i would still ask questions i had to your friend. i bet she will understand why you are and will be able to help you understand.

You're at the age where you need a mom more than ever, which is why the feelings of loss seem to be stronger now. If you can talk candidly with your father, great. If you don't feel comfortable with that, maybe there's an aunt, or grandmother, or an older female friend or relative that you feel comfortable discussing female issues with.

Hey, to me it sounds like as you are growing up you are lacking a mother figure. Possible at the funeral where most people only begin to let go you were to young to see it as a chance to start letting go. To me death isnt the end. I feel like if you ask hard enough and really concentrate you can easily talk to someone that has passed over. Im sure you mother is with you more than you know, but just not in the way you expect. Hope this might help you.

you are mad because she passed away and now you miss her. but you can't go on through your life feeling that way you need to let go of that feeling and accept that she is not with you anymore.
