My husband is 8 months younger. :) I think that you should only go four years in either direction. Any more than that then the relationship roles might be parent/child instead of equal partners.

I dated a guy who was 2 years younger than me. Actually, I was in love with him. But as time passed, I noticed no matter how mature he seemed, he was immature for me. He was mature for his age for sure, but it was not enough for me. And sometimes I'd feel he had inferiority complex, I was doing my MA, and he was stuggling to finish his BA. It was never an issue for me, but he had issues with it apparently.
In the end, I broke up with him because of his very different worldview from mine. You may say that it wasn't love we had, but no we were in love but I could no longer tolerate that much of difference.
Now, I would never date a guy who is younger than me, okay maybe 1 year wouldn't be a problem but no more than that!

I would date a guy younger than me if he's mature, etc. Ten years is the maximum. Right now it's four years (I don't want to go below the 21y.o.).

I probably would not because he'd probably be in a different phase of life than I am in... but there are always exceptions to the rule, so I'm willing to keep an open mind... but I generally like someone around my age or a little older.

I am 27 and I would only go down to 21. But that would be for fun only. I would never contemplate geting serious with anyone below the age of 26.

I don't mind. only 3 years younger than me in generally but only in University when few man grow mature and become smart than they were in high school. That is.
