Brilliant answer Dutchgirlin... please sense the sarcasm!

I don't think the blame can be brought back to one of the particular countries you mentioned exclusively... all have had a part to play in the crisis and the events leading up to it. I find it interesting that you didn't mention Hezbollah? I have no sympathy for this group, but I do have sympathy for the people who are suffering because of their extreme views and nonesense. Either way, personally, I think that this is an issue of culture, and particularly religion, and I don't really know what serves as the best way of solving it... However, I do believe that Hezbollah is doing no good - for the Lebanese people or for anyone - and would be better off gone.

Well, a terrorist militant group within Lebanon are the ones who started it, and then when a cease fire was called the Lebanese are the ones who broke it. Israel is just fighting back after having some soldiers kidnapped.

Are you asking about the actual valuable residences, or about the country borders? you would possibly want to note that through the years and centuries countless communities have invaded and occupied countless elements of the middle East to the volume that no team can possibly declare "possession" of any particular area as from "time immemorial". Come to imagine of it, that applies to a tremendous variety of the international.
