Rhodes might get the start come Week 1 and he has experience in the system (When James went down in 2001, Rhodes had a career year, rushing for 1,104 yards and 10 TD, when he easily won the job. Unfortunetly, he was never the same, not only was James back the following year but tore up his knee and only got 190 carries since then). Of course the knee injury could scare the team a little bit, but they do have faith in Rhodes. Don't be surprise if Addai dethrone Rhodes from the starting position because he's a much better blocker and catch passes while running at a "high" 4.4 seconds from the 40, while Rhodes is more suited in outside running, which makes a question if he can run inside, which the offense relies on. Of course, indication from Dungy and Manning could signal Addai as being a starter in the near future. Rhodes will have a decent year, just not the year that he can crack the 1,000 yard if Addai had his way.

His value will depend on the battle with Joseph Addai. The chances of him becoming a great running back are not particularly good.
When a team uses its first-round pick on a running back (Addai), it usually doesn't plan to leave that running back on the bench. So while Rhodes likely will open the season as the starter, Addai is the better long-term option

Not great, he doesnt have overwhellming talent, and without doubt once Edge signed with AZ the colts started planning their offense around Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clarck, and of course, Peyton Manning. He might get alot of carries because that team is going to have the lead and will be running down the clock alot, but dont expect great YPC or TD

I could really care less, I have both Rhodes and Addai. The platoon backs seem to be the future, so I would imagine barring injury they will split carries. Probably like the Ronnie/Ricky or Mike Anderson/Tatum Bell commitee.
