Do you believe this? If you do, please do some simple research and educate yourself about the realities. This same 57% also believe that Saadam and Osama are buddies! They are and always have been bitter enemies. Sadaam is Sunni and Osama is Shiite and if you've been watching the news, you know that they are really not compatible to say the least!
If your answer is "yes" please explain why when even the President and VP have said publically that there was no connection at all. I know some will accuse me of using this forum to state my point of view, but I am truly wondering how so many Americans can possibly not know that there was never any connection. Thank you.

Yes, I would believe the percentage is that high, simply because a good portion of Americans are not aware of what's going on in the world or pay attention to the news. I think the fact that more Americans know who won on American Idol than who is their elected official speaks a lot about what we deem as important as a society.

Has it occured to you that they believe there is a connection because it has been proven that there was and is a connection. Not only did Sadam harbor terrorists, he financially supported them. When our leaders advised that he stop, he refused. When the UN repeatedly insisted that he stop making biological weapons he did not. I know you are asking where are those weapons now? What most media is not telling is that there were trucks that carried these weapons into Seria. Where did I hear about this? Fox news, the leading news broadcaster in the U.S., but rarely watched by those who only want to know why our media believes that things are not working in Iraq. Are you aware that not to long ago, our military caught the creative minds behind 9/11. Which happened on September 11th, 2001. Is that worth anything to you, or do you just enjoy reading your own rehtoric.

they believe this because shorly after the war started the media tried to make the point that they were buddies and the 50% that believes that also beileves anything that comes off of the media even when they are wrong look at the story that broke with those miners that 12 were alive and one was dead than what they changed there story Americans believe what they hear and have to be told that isn;'t right a million times before they may believe different look at how many believe that 9/11 was done by our government

You are very selective in what a connection is. The reality of the situations is that Saadam Hussein was harboring terrorist and yes the ones that hit us on 9\11 were getting financial aid from him. The rest of your statement is true. But not only is it true, but it is at this point in time irrelevant!

People believe what they want to- even if it is far from the truth. The fact is we attacked the wrong nation, and our soldiers and tax dollars are paying for Bush's mistake.
