Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

Try to use the Univ. of Phoenix as a last resort of it all possible. I asked my boss (the HR Director) about going to the U of Phoenix to get my Masters Degree and he told me that would not impress him and he'd fire me. (he was joking about the firing part!) He told me that would be unacceptable for me to go there (in my particular case) but does realize that for others it's their only choice. My personal opinion is that at least going there is better than only having a high school diploma.

From U of Phoenix? I'd say any employer worth working for would look at it as just that, BS!!! Not to be a snob, but you need to go to a REAL school.

Good luck!

It's a waste of money. Anyone who pays, graduates. Employers know that it's just a degree mill. They would rather see night courses from a local community college.

I'm not sure how it can be called a "degree mill" if you have to do actual coursework. My former boss and her boss (the vice president of IT at our company) both attend University of Phoenix because they are working on getting an MBA. And they work their asses off doing it, too.
