Don't take anything especially Tylenol cold. Any cold medicine can affect the baby. Try using Vick's vapor rub, a nasal spray that is a saline solution only, it does not contain any drugs. Just eat lots of chicken soup, OJ and plenty of water to help flush out your system. Your best bet is to get over the cold naturally without any drugs. If you have a fever they say regular or extra strength Tylenol is OK to use as directed on the bottle. Best bet call your OB/GYN and talk to the nurse.

I just recently got over a cold a few days ago. I called my doctor and he told me that I could take Tylenol Cold or Benadryl. So I went to the drug store and picked up the Tylenol Cold and brought it up to the pharmacist. She told me that the ingredients in making Tylenol Cold have changed and should NOT be taken by pregnant women. So I was stuck taking Benadryl and sleeping all the time.
So my suggestion to you is, try other remedies before taking any meds.

There are categories assigned to drugs as to what has shown to cause risks for a child. The only thing my doctor recommends is Tylenol...which does NOTHING for a cold. You may want to ask your doctor...but I wouldn't take anything without knowing for certain.
This may help you...

I had the same problem. Doctors told me not to take anything. I found relief with neti pots & saline sprays. (Careful with the Tylenol, only one kind is usually allowed, and that's the pain reliever one) * Make sure never to take any antihistamines.

Don't bother, they do no good anyways. Make some homemade chicken soup! Eat more garlic and onions. Drink lots of sweet tea (real tea).

Take nothing without your drs. advice. Never follow advice from others when pregnant. They don't have a clue of your medical history.
Call your doctor.

Doctors only seem to recommend tylenol for everything. Its the safest.
My doc said it was okay so you might want to ask yours regardless of what anybody says on here!!!
