Not directly.
The Israelites made the Ark of the Covenant.
It was built using gold that had been stolen from the Egyptians (the Israelites were told that it was okay to loot Egypt on the way out... which so ticked off the Egyptians that the Israelites were followed down to the Red Sea by the Egyptian army... you know the story).

The Ark of the Covenant was made from the gold the Israelites took out of Egypt in their exodus. Call the gold a payment from their 400 years of slavery.
If it looks Egyptian, I'd say the artist was influenced by Egyptian art, after all, the Israelites built whatever was designed by the Egyptians.
God gave them specific instructions for design, but as people will, I'm sure the artists added some of the designs they were familiar with.

Well, if you read the exodus, the parting of the red sea, and then the parting of the river jordan seems very similar to me. So i am not entirely sure the ark was not brought all the way from egypt. A lot of information has most certainly been lost in translation in this case. The truth won't come out until the ark itself is found, or egyptologists release their obscenely arrogant hold on ancient egyptian writings.

There is no evidence that Moses was ever in Egypt. If he had been the historical texts of Egypt would mention him but they do not. If he had stolen the Ark of the covenant or brought down plagues and famines on Egypt this would be recorded but it is not. Moses may be a fantasy concocted up by an over active imagination. Rather the same as the fantasy of Indiana Jones.

No twist of fate. The Jews have been in Egypt for over 4 hundred years, and that they accompanied the ten Commandments from the Egyptians. of direction, they had to come again up with a dramatic adventure to make it look as though Moses grow to be given the ten Commandments from God, whilst they even have been given them from the Egyptians.

The people who made the prop for Indiana Jones went by the description in the Bible, but to me, it looks very Art Deco, like the angels are hood ornaments off cars from the 20's. Goes with the whole Indiana Jones as serial movie star theme. But the 20's and Art Deco were influenced by Egypt.

I think the Israelites made their own box, but it's what's inside that counts...and don't look! No matter what, don't look!

Hello, this is Christian mythology. There never was a real Moses or an Ark of the Covenant. There never was an ark. It didn't rain and cover the entire planet. But the earth does revolve around the sun and did you know the earth is flat.

The Ark does not actually look like it does in Indiana Jones, it was built decades after Moses had led his people far away from Egypt.
You would have to be mad to actually think "I am fleeing for my life from the army of Pharoh, I will pause to steal this giant golden casket in case the Lord will appear to me in thirty years or so from now and gives me some stone tablets to put inside it" was what Moses was thinking.

In latest "investigations" and theories, Moses isn't even a Israelite, he seems to be some kind of runaway prince, who was involved in a complot to throw over the in these days nestled pharao, hid for several years in the swamp and became something of a leader of a pack low-life loosers as himself (but not royal) with whom he fled to Canaän. Upon arrival there, there was no fight with the Canaänites at Jericho, they just kind of settled in. The ark was just another tool to hold the team-spirit in the herd, for most of the followers were mere looking for fortune and as it didn't come, they ran off. Personally, I think the "slaves" killed Moses somewhere in the desert and then invented some kind of nice sounding story, like those they filled the rest of the bible with. Anyhow, they came into Canaän only at thirty or so...

Yes, the covenant is Egyptian...but it wasn't stolen from the Pharaoh.....the followers of Moses made it themselves from all the gold they had under his guidance....it looks Egyptian because they were Egyptians too..indeed they were slaves and knew about Egyptian architecture..
I hope this helps you clear your doubt....
