On Mtv's show Laguna Beach, the lingo "Hooking -up" what does that mean? is it refering to just leaving a party together? or going out on a date,? kissing? or having sex? because I have always known it to be having sex but i refuse to believe those kids were talking about their sex life so openly on camera knowing that one day their parents and families would see.

FRIENDS MEETING
"Katie, let's hook-up at the mall"
KISSING:
"I saw Steven & Kristin hooking-up on Friday"
DATING:
"Hey you look pretty good maybe we should hook-up next week"
SEX:
"Lauren is such a skank she hooked-up with Steven in Rosirito!"

To use the childish example of the "bases"
When I was in high school, hooking up was anything from first to second base. However as I got older, hooking up has come to mean sex. I would guess on a show like that it would be everything but sex.

well im a huge fan of laguna so im pretty sure its meaning kissing making out etc & probably having sex too.

The hills is alot of stuff those human beings actual go by ability of yet directors and manufacturers will upload script to make it more effective dramatic and thrilling! even no matter if it truly is fake it doesnt count number; its relaxing to observe! lol

i think that mostly it means leaving a party together and kissing or making out or something..i dont think it always means having sex..ocasionally it might..but not always
