A-Rod, at the end of the day, is the better player.
And, he's the one of the two that's having an off season by his standards. Andruw Jones has good stats, lots of run production, HRs, etc. on an otherwise below average offensive team.
A-Rod's numbers will only go up with Abreu in the lineup. Abreu gets on base, and is a dangerous hitter (although he tends to loaf and take off plays defensively)

Andrew Jones. A-rod has allowed what was just a slump in the field to get in his head, and he can't get it out. He threw a routine out to .....NOBODY, and the ball went into right field. He has more errors already this year than in any other complete year in his career, and there is still a month and a half of baseball to play. He is having his worst season as a pro. Furthermore, he can't hit in the clutch. The next time he hits a home run that means anything, will be the 1st time. He has hit plenty of them, he just hits them when they are losing 7-1, and no one is on base.

A-Rod will have the better season. I feel like Andruw Jones will stop trying since the Braves are pretty much out of the playoffs, and because he is sour from almost being traded. Plus A-Rod still has a lot to prove to all those Yankee fans who feel like he isn't earning his money.

Rodriguez is in a tough situation, as he is under serious pressure playing in New York for a division-leading club. Every mistake he makes is amplified by the media, and it's hard to keep a positive mindset in that atmosphere. That said, he has a much better offense around him, and it will get even better when Sheffield and Matsui come back from the disabled list. Andruw Jones is one of the most powerful hitters in the game, but he doesn't have the patience at the plate or protection in the lineup Rodriguez does.

A-Rod, the media has finally cooled down on him.. and with him hitting behind damon jeter and abreu, and in front of giambi, he will get alot of rbi chances and ALOT of pitches to hit. Andrew Jones has nobody else as good as those guys in his lineup for help.

A-Rod would be the first to tell you that 3rd base is not his position, and being in Jeters shadow, i doubt he will not play to his potential until he is put on another team, and Andruw is by FAR the the BEST CF in all MLB, and this year is putting out awesome numbers, one to note is that he is hitting over .300 with RISP, compared to mid .200s last year. also Andruw being in his tenth year has matured alot and is barely reaching his prime..
