Are you using the definition of it that explains it as sarcasm in the literal sense?-or the definition that explains it as an action or event that is unexpected? Isn't irony ironic? Because if it's the first then you're trying to be a smug a s shole by asking a question where, by not knowing the answer, we have proven your point. If it's the second, you are most likely making a political statement against the U.S., which is overplayed to the point of being a compliment. There is a reason everyone hates the Yankees- and there is nothing ironic about that... b i t c h.

If this isn't a trick question designed to evoke a negative...but confirmatory response...I believe America is founded on Irony. Paradox is built into the mixture..and we seem to represent every culture and ideology. We generate it...we evoke it...we become ironic by definition. Our humor often stems from a sense of irony. We also seem to display a significant populace of the very literal minded...that becomes the antithesis to irony...but I love the irony within the statement.

Why isn't there a restriction here on Answers that make a person stay in what ever country they are instead instead of allowing foreign people to post in the American forum.
