I have a 92 Pontiac Sundbird, and it has recently started making noises in the front right wheel area (ish). It makes a clunking sound when I go over a bump, and not so much when I'm driving. I'm thinking that it's the suspension, and praying that it's not somethign more serious. I can't really afford to fix much right now!! help!

Shame on you silverstang you think all cars have ball joints like stangs... :-)
My bet is a tie rod end. or loose strut. there is a chance that with this year car the front end is just shot. (sorry) meaning that there are bushings in the front end that wear out.
If you want to see if it is a tie rod jack up the front right and grab the tire trying to turn it. if you feel a wobble and some play then it is the tie rod end. should be able to fix and align for a couple of hundred. That's just reality. if it is the struts, tie rods, bushings, you're getting close to a grand to fix.....But remember theh car is paid for. If you can't afford to pay all at once a GOOD shop will from time to time extend a little credit.
I do this for my regular customers. I run a good shop. You need to be up front with the owner or manager. I wouldn't go to a franchise car shop but ask around for a local independant and make sure he knows you will return and he or she will do you good....

Most likely is struts, or the bearings where the struts set into at the top of them. Or could even be ball joints. as they are more common to wear then them other parts.

i'd bring it to a shop and have them look at it, it doesnt sound like a roblem that would cost too much, and if it is, you might as well at least know to start looking for another car.
