My friends tell me the only thing I ever think of is money. I love the money I make at my job, but I don't really enjoy what I do pushing papers at a medical documents office. I love to teach. I teach English, Spanish, Japanese and French, but only part time because I have a full time job documenting stuff. There's a new school in town, and they love the fact that I was the highest of the candidates on both the French and Japanese proficiency test, they want me full time. I would really enjoy, but I would be making less money, enought to live on, but less money. Should I quit good paying job for one that I love that pays less??

Only you know how materialistic you are . . . could you go part time at the documentation job and see if you like the other? Once you have lived at a higher standard of living, it is hard to simplify . . . trust me. You really have to have some savings for emergencies and be happy with what you already have. If you constantly want the newest, the biggest and the best . . . sorry, it won't work.

This is easy. Take the teaching job. Instead of focusing on yourself and your money, you will be giving back to others which will lead to a much better life in the long run. Even in the worst case scenario, if you did not like the teaching job, you could go back and get another high paying job. You have to at least try it.

If you can afford it, quit.. if not, stay in two jobs.
However, i thought with teaching jobs you get good benefit.

Anyway, i have a better suggestion.

Work full time as teacher and part time pushing medical papers.
You may have a better balance in income too.

You might not be able to have as many nice things but in the long run it would make you happy. Go for it, and make sure you are a really nice teacher.
